Always Handy To Have On Hand

In my line of work it's always useful to have a few Thank You cards on hand. I'd completely run out so sat down yesterday and today, in between doing things for the family, and put together six cards like the ones shown below. Two have already been sent to lovely ladies who have agreed to hostess Sale-A-Bration workshops with me.

I got the idea for these cards from a post on the Splitcoast Stampers forum. All products used are Stampin' Up! Warmest Regards Hostess Set, Whisper White, Taken with Teal and Regal Rose Cardstock, Love Me DSP, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Taken with Teal and Chocolate Chip classic ink pads, Snail Adhesive and Glue Dots. The white grosgrain ribbon was dyed with the Taken with Teal and Chocolate Chip inkpads to coordinate with the DSP.

THIS YEAR'S CHRISTMAS CANDLE

My local card club wants to do Make and Take candles in February. A candle I'd decorated with stamps a few years ago hadn't worked out as well as I'd hoped so I did some research and had a practice with this Christmas candle. I found these instructions on Splitcoast stampers which are fairly fool proof as long as you don't use too much heat on the candle or your fingers.

My candle is a cheap church candle from my local Uncle Bills discount store. Supplies used: Stampin' Up! stamp sets, festive favourites and loads of love, old olive, chocolate chip and cranberry crisp classic ink pads, paper snips, tissue paper, heat tool and baking paper.

Treat Box for Lachy's School and Welcome to SBS4

This is the treat box I've just finished and filled with Lollies and Chocolate for the Staff Room at Lachy's school.
It was made using SU Sahara Sand 12x12 Cardstock, Holiday Thyme DSP, 1/8" circle hand held punch, olive organdy ribbon and eyelets from my stash. The template is here at Splitcoast Stampers.
The card was made using SU Cranberry Crisp cardstock, Holiday Thyme DSP, Terrific Tags stamp set, tag punch, cranberry crisp classic ink pad, 6mm grosgrain ribbon.
Also welcome to the SBS4 team from the Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers. I only joined earlier today and have already had one comment on my blog so I'm feeling very welcome. As you will see from my profile I'm an enthusiastic (obsessed) papercrafter who manages to fit in between two small boys designing for the Daring Cardmakers DT and running a small business as an Independent Stampin' Up!(R) Demonstrator.

Xmas Gifts for All

It's getting close to the end of the school year again and the kids are giving out their cards along with candy canes this year. It just gets worse and worse every year.

Lachy wants to be part of it of couse and also decided on boxes for his two special friends in the class. As much as I don't like giving out gifts to all and sundry they were boxes after all and darn it I was going to have to make them, right now.

Some Images (c) Stampin' Up! 1990-2007
I used the 2-5-7-10 box template from Splitcoast Stampers. I used red card, Stampin' Up! real red classic ink pad, Bold Snowflakes Jumbo Wheel, 1/8 inch hand held circle punch and 6mm white grosgrain ribbon. The greetings were printed on the computer.
