DCM Little Extra - Tribute to Lynne and Gillian

To say Thankyou to Lynne and Gillian for all their hard work on the DCM design team this little extra is a tribute to them and to their unique styles. We will miss you.

Make your card in the style of Lynne or Gillian. Use a technique that they use often or use a card they've done for the DCM as your inspiration.
>
I've chosen Lynne's use of patterned paper and stitching as my inspiration for this Birthday card. Lynne always used straight stitching not zig zag but my old sewing machine seemed to cope with zig zag on paper a lot better.

Supplies used: - SU stamp set Polka Dot and Petals, Old Olive Cardstock, Enchante and Spring Flowers DSP, Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad, Snail, 11/4 inch circle punch, snail, stampin' dimensionals, sewing machine, brown thread, sizzlets roundabout dies.

Pocket Book

I've been sitting down in spare moments around friends, children, trips to the park etc, etc and finishing slowly my pocket book. I saw one of those demonstrated on Craft TV. Jami's was all about trips overseas but I haven't managed to get overseas since the boys were born so mine's been made to look after more practical matters, my make and take cards.

The front of the pocket has a picture of the card and the tag inside the pocket lists all the bits and pieces with measurements to go into the make and take packets. Hopefully this will be a time saving move for workshop prep.
This could be decorated and used for anything. Photos, a grandparents brag book, favouritie recipes etc, etc. See my class list I have a pocket book class for October.

All supplies used SU: - Taken with Teal, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Taken with Teal and Chocolate Chip Classic ink pads, Snail, Grosgrain Ribbon, Stamp Sets: - Fresh Fillers, Time Well Spent, Eat Cake, Heartfelt Thanks, Polka Dots and Petals, and bookrings.

DCM - Little Extra - New To Me

The only thing I asked for and got for Christmas was this gorgeous SU Navy Linen Post Bound Album. Much better than my old cheapie as I can add in more pages later.

So for this dare I had to go back to my newest stamp set. The stamp set I used 'Time Well Spent' was sent by Stampin' Up! as a Thank You to all their demonstrators in early December. Sort of a Christmas present.

It's my friend's daughter's birthday in two days time and although I've remembered for at least 10 days I of course sit down to make the card at the last minute. I need to post it tomorrow.
