DCM Dare - Wheely Exciting

It's Kathy's turn this week to set the dare: -

"So, on to this week and for my dare I'd like you to make cards with wheels
....no, not actually made with wheels, you can still use card and paper ;-), so you don't need to go and steal the ones from the car or the kids' bikes and write a message on them!
I'd like you to feature wheels ON your cards, or as part of them. So you could have cars, bikes etc on your card, or maybe you could actually make a card that moves along on some wheels..... or how about a card that has one of those "wheels" inside it (fixed with a brad) and little apertures in the actual card front so that when you move the wheel the message appears in the aperture? (I hope that makes sense)"

Here's mine:

Supplies used: - Plane Image from Wrapping Paper, A6 Laminating Pouch, Eat Cake Stamp Set, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White and Only Orange Cardstock, Cloud template, Stampin' Sponge, Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Cutter.

My Sister - In Law had asked me to make a card with a plane on it for her brother's birthday. My mother had come up with some wrapping paper and it was sitting on my craft table when Kathy came up with this dare. Erm I thought I wonder if any of those planes on the paper have visible wheels? This is the result.

Daring Cardmakers Dare: - Shapes

I think I've almost caught up with all the blog/Stampin' Up! type stuff that I should have been doing over the weekend while we were away. I have certainly not caught up with the housework, that could take a while.

I had my card made for this dare and on the DCM blog on Friday but I didn't have time to update mine. This is the first dare launched by Tanya Leigh.

"The Design Team have been busy working on this weeks dare ' It's all in the Shape' set by me. I'm a fan of shaped cards so thought this was a great one to do for my first dare. You can do any theme but your card has to be a shape of some sort.
If you don't have any shapes check out the internet as there are heaps out there. So go for it and can't wait to check out what you guys came up with."

It was my Mum's birthday on Tuesday last week so it was the perfect opportunity to make Mum's card in a shape. Totally different from the other rectangular shop bought cards she got.

All supplies used Stampin' Up! unless noted otherwise: - Bodacious Bouquet and Big Deal Alphabet Stamp Sets, Taken with Teal and Whisper White Cardstock, Taken with Teal and Wild Wasabi Classic Ink Pads, Pretties Kit, East Coast Prep DSP, Stampin' Dimesionals, Adhesive, Paper Snips, Sanding Blocks, Fiskars Shape Cutter and Large Oval Templates.

Thank you to all the wonderfully talented cardmakers who entered this month.
The lucky winner by random draw this month is Kelly. Your Friendship Blooms stamp set is on the way to you in the mail.
The only condition of the challenge is that the card must meet the theme and use one item of Stampin' Up! product. If you would like to be included in future challenges sign up for my EMail newsletter using the sign up box in the side bar. I am only able to send the prizes within New Zealand.
