Post it Note Keyring

I've been eyeing up this post it note keyring tutorial on Angie Kennedy Juda's blog for sometime and finally decided today it was time to do something about it. While travelling to have lunch with DH's parents I stopped at Warehouse Stationery and to my delight discovered that we have post it notes it the same imperial dimensions as in the US so didn't have to adjust Angie's instructions one little bit.

Here's mine:

Supplies used all Stampin' Up! - Bodacious Bouquet & Eat Cake Stamp Sets, Pixie Pink and Pretty in Pink Cardstock, Pixie Pink Classic Ink Pad, Cropadile, Craft Tool Kit, Snail, Stick Strip, Paper Cutter, Scallop Circle & 11/4" Circle Punches, soft subtles brads. Oh and a book ring.

After making it I decided it would make the perfect Mother's Day gift for DH's Mum who is always saying 'don't buy me anything' without getting into any trouble.

This Years Mother's Day Card

I've made two cards the same this year for my Mum and DH's Mum. I'm really pleased with this card, not only does it include a photo of their grandchildren, always sure to go down well, but I used two left over make and take kits from Sale-A-Bration. Well I adjusted them a little bit. I left out some ribbon and a brad and added a couple of small bits of card to make the circles inside the flower.
All supplies Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted: - Stamp Set Polka Dots & Petals, Mother's Day stamp (Montarga), Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pads, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Cutter, Scallop Circle, 11/4" Circle and 3/4" Circle Punches.

A Most Distressing Dare followed by a Fun Morning

It was my turn to set the dare for the Daring Cardmakers design team this week. I decided to distress all of them, well at least their cards. It didn't matter whether they used finger nails, sandpaper, curled edges or ripping, anything really as long as the card looked like it had some wear and tear.

To see the fantastic work done by the design team and to find out how to join in with the dare click here.

Here's my card: Supplies used: - Stampin' Up! From the Garden Stamp Set, White Gloss and Bravo Burgundy Cardstock, Bravo Burgundy Classic, Regal Rose Classic, Versamark and Encore Metallic Gold Ink Pads, Paper Cutter, Sanding Blocks, Blender Pen. Gold microfine glitter and gold embossing powder from stash.

After publishing a rather distressing dare last night it was all smiles and chat with four lovely ladies joining me for the second session of my 'Welcome to New Idea Book and Catalogue' class this morning. Thank you ladies I had a great time. The ladies left happily with their creations and a copy of the 2008/2009 Idea Book and Catalogue to peruse over the weekend.

If you haven't had a chance to look at the 2008/2009 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue contact me to purchase your own copy for $15.00 plus $2.00 postage or visit the Stampin' Up! Website. First Card With My New Circle Scallop Punch

After so long jealously eyeing up the cards, boxes etc made with the Circle Scallop punch by the talented US/Canadian Stampin' Up! demos, I now can make my own.

I made this one a week ago so I've been really slack in getting it up here to show you all.

It was one of those cards where I didn't know how it was going to turn out I just wanted to try out the punch and picked up the nearest piece of cardstock and started to punch scalloped circles.

All supplies Stampin' Up!:- Bodacious Bouquet Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Pretty In Pink and Very Vanilla Cardstock, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pads, Scallop Circle and 11/4" circle Punches, Paper Cutter and Snail Adhesive.

Soooooooooooo tired..........................................

I've just had a weekend away with two of my bestest cardmaking buddies Kelly and Vicky. We cardmade, scrapped, stash shopped, talked, went out for dinner, talked, walked on the beach, talked and I even managed to slip in an SU workshop on the Friday afternoon in the same town. Perfect timing.

Shrink to Fit

The latest DCM dare is from Kathy.

"I used to be able to make cards with lots of "white space" around the designs, but lately when I've tried to do this my cards just look sooooo naked!
So this week I'd like you to think small - not small cards, but small spaces of embellishment on regular sized cards.
You are allowed to cover no more than a 5x5cms area of your card with paper or embellishment - the rest of the card must be left plain.
How you use those valuable cms is up to you. So you may choose to split up those cms to use around your card, or use them in a block or a line. It might help to cut a few 5x5cm squares then cut those up to work out good ways of using your allotment. Making your whole card a miniscule 5x5cms is NOT an option!! Lets have no cheating (I know what you lot are like.....),but because I'm feeling generous, I'm going to let you add a SIMPLE greeting as extra to your 5x5 allowance! :-)"

So mine didn't look as naked my base card is only 10cm x 10cm.

Supplies used: - SU Stamp set Bodacious Bouquet, Scatter Sunshine Wheel, Whisper White, Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue Cardstock, Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue Ink, Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Cutter & Paper Snips.

March Cardmaking Challenge

For March I challenged the cardmakers on my EMail List to create a card in the theme of Easter or a Birthday card for a small boy. These are what the ladies came up with.

Thank you to Gillian(2), Vicky, Donna, Judy, Michelle, Sam, Alison(2), Beverley(2) & Cathryn(2) for sharing your fabulous works of art with me.

I had 13 entries this month and while 13 may be an unlucky number for some it was a very lucky number for Donna. Your Friendship Blooms stamp set is on the way to you in the mail.

The only condition of the challenge is that the card must meet the theme and use one item of Stampin' Up! product. If you would like to be included in future challenges sign up for my EMail newsletter using the sign up box in the side bar. I am only able to send the prizes within New Zealand.
