DCM Dare - Animalia

"Thankyou to everyone that participated in our mid week dare. There were some fabulous cards created and it was great to see so many of you having a play with some anniversary paper and clocks too.

Hi everyone, it's my turn (Mel) to set the dare this week :)

I've based my dare on the book by Graeme Base called 'Animalia' (just because that book happened to be sitting near my desk when I realised it was my turn for the dare this week).

So, all you have to do is create a card featuring an animal. I hope you all enjoy having a play with this dare, don't forget to come back and let us know where we can see the cards you make - because we do love to see all the wonderful cards you make"

See the cards from the design team here.

My card was created using the following Stampin' Up! supplies: - Wild About You, Everyday Flexible Phrases and Big Deal Alphabet Stamp Sets, Old Olive, Brilliant Blue, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads, Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock. East Coast Prep DSP, Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Cutter

Daring Cardmakers - Team Dare Recycle

This week we have a team dare for you ....and we have been looking at Recycling once again. BUT there is a tiny twist! (you'd expect no less eh?) We want you to have a look at old shop bought greetings cards, wrapping paper or gift bags which you have received in the past and recycle any elements to make a card of your own.You could use them to make backgrounds, cut small focus pieces out, or use the flowers, ribbon and other interesting bits and pieces that are often attached to the cards. To see the cards from the design team click here.

Here's my card. Done late and added to the blog yesterday instead of Friday. My card uses a cupcake from a card my sister gave me for my birthday.

All supplies except for Cupcake Stampin' Up! - Eat Cake stamp set, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana cardstock, So Saffron Classic Ink Pad, Soft Subtles Mini Brads, Craft Tool Kit, Snail, Paper Cutter, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Inkspirables Team Meeting - My Special Upline

Everybody likes to be appreciated and it was my turn to be recognised at 'The Inkspirables' team meeting last night.

Due to Mandy my downline signing up at the end of February I now have the title of Supervisor. Thanks heaps Mandy!!! To recognise that achievement my very special upline Sharlene altered the little metal bucket you see in the photo and filled it with choccies, magnets from the Momento Mall at convention and some double stitched ribbon. I am one spoilt chicken.

As well as that she made the black and white decorated shot glasses and cards for all her team.

As well as all the gifts we had a make and take, training and planning for events later in the year. I am so excited we are going to be the Stampin' Up! demo team at SENZ. Watch out for further details on the SENZ website.

For information on how to become a part of The Inkspirables team EMail me for a Stampin' Up! demo information pack.

April Cardmaking Challenge

In my April Newsletter I challenged the cardmakers in my EMail newsletter list to create a card using at least one item of Stampin' Up! product in the theme of Autumn. This is what they came up with:

For all entries some images are (C) Stampin' Up! 1997-2008.

Thank you to Vicky, Cathryn, Donna, Gillian, Judy and Michelle.

The lucky winner by random draw this month is Judy. Your Merci stamp set is on the way to you in the mail.

The only condition of the challenge is that the card must meet the theme and use one item of Stampin' Up! product. If you would like to be included in future challenges sign up for my EMail newsletter using the sign up box in the side bar. I am only able to send the prizes within New Zealand.
