HodgePodge Bookmark

This is another project that I had on the backburner, I had the hodgepodge and I was waiting to get the designer label punch to match it. Luckily I had saved the link to the bookmark on Dawn's blog.

When I got together with my crafty friends, Kelly and Vicky at Vicky's place last Friday night it was the perfect time to give it a try. Kelly and Vicky made some lovely bookmarks as well.

Here's mine:

Here are your ingredients:

3 different papers
At least one piece of chipboard
At least 1 button
At least 1 piece of ribbon
optional: 1 extra item/element of your choice
You can use as much ink/adhesive etc as you like.

The other design team members got little packets from Kathy and were only able to use what she had sent. I was a bit luckier and mine didn't make it on time from the UK so I could choose what I wanted. She did however send me a template for the faux chipboard flower that I used.

Here's mine: -

All Supplies Stampin' Up!®: -

Stamps - Good Friend (will be available from 1/4/09)

Papers - Groovy Guava cardstock (R), Afternoon Tea DSP, Card Found in DSP packets for faux chipboard.

Ink - Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad

Punches - Word Window

Accessories - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Snail Adhesive, Glue Dots, Earth Elements and Neutrals Buttons (R), Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon (R), Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.

Items with an (R) after them are on the current retired list and are only available until they sell out or the 31/3/09 whichever comes sooner.

With the retirement list out I was out of SU buttons and I didn't want to buy anymore until the new Idea Book and Catalogue came out. The ones I've used have been begged and borrowed from Master 8 who asked me to buy them for him with his pocket money from the retirement list.

Bye Bye Bodacious

When Bodacious Bouquet arrived in my Stampin' Start order I wasn't sure about it but slowly and surely it grew on me to be my favourite stamp set.

Thank you Stampin' Up!® for using it in your March Workshop Wizard to help me give it a great send off in my March workshops.

Here's my version of their card: -
All Supplies Stampin' Up!® -

Stamp Sets: - Bodacious Bouquet & Sincere Salutations

Card: - Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Brocade Blue

Ink: - Brocade Blue Classic Ink Pad, Lovely Lilac, Bashful Blue & Brilliant Blue Reinkers, Versamark

Punches: - Scallop Edge

Accessories - Paper Trimmer, Paper Cutter, Bold Brights Brads, Mat Pack, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals

The two stamp sets I was most upset about not being able to demonstrate next year, Bodacious Bouquet and Ahoy Matey were both earnt stamp sets. Obviously I choose what I love more than using business sense when getting them for free.

February Papercraft Challenge

In February I challenged the papercrafters on my newsletter list to create a papercraft project using at least one item of Stampin' Up! product in the theme of 'Newest'. I wanted them to use all the goodies they received for Christmas. Or if they weren't so lucky some of the last papercraft purchases they had made.

Here they are:
Aliyah (7 years)

Cathryn
Del
Eileen
Gillian
Kelly
Sally
