Jo has challenged us to make a card using bits and bobs usually found in an office.
Here goes:
Here's one for those of you who can still remember being taught to type on a typewriter rather than a keyboard. The background I did in Word in courier font and then sponged over some ink to make it look a bit older. I hadn't really intended to use the blue. Teach me to wash the sponge between uses.

Gorgeous card Keryn, Esp love that you used a bit of ribbon! very clever....takes me back, each morning before school,7-8am I used to go to touch typing lessons with a group of girls and a cranky old man...& yes we typed that little verse... but am ever thankful for this skill...
I remember manual typewriters and 'the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog' bit too! Took me ages to learn not to punch out the middle of the o's due to me being a bit heavy handed at first - lol! And I still cannot type using all of my fingers (sigh) Your card is great. I think the ribbon actually looks like a pencil, too - you know those striped ones? This is a fun dare :-)
this is such fun Keryn - a really inspiring card
Brilliant - that brings back memories for me too! Love the old typewriter ribbon.
I love this, really clever idea.
oh yes, definitely brings back lots of memories!
I would really love to hunt down and old typewriter that still works for my scrap space.
Lovely card,
Melx
