Origami Christmas Tree

I found the instructions for this tree on Jackie Topa's blog.  My tree was made using a full sheet of 12x12 Kiwi Kiss patterns designer series paper but you could use any size square and make them smaller or larger to suit your setting.  Smaller ones for table decorations, I can see them with place name cards instead of the star, or bigger ones to sit on a coffee table.

All these need is a sheet of 12x12 designer series paper, a scrap of paper for the star, adhesive and scissors.  Get 12 from a pack of designer series paper.  See the selection in the 2009/2010 Idea Book and Catalogue and then contact me to place your order.

Daring Cardmaker - Getting Krafty

This week it's Jo's turn to set the dare over on the Daring Cardmakers blog.

"Using Kraft cardstock :) Either as a card base or somewhere on the card - if you don't have any you could use some card board such as corrugated or even a brown kraft envelope... "

To my shame I have to admit that I don't own any 'Kraft' cardstock even tho. Stampin' Up!® do sell it.  I couldn't even lay my hands on a brown kraft envelope but luckily I spied a manilla folder.  Perfect!!!

This is what I created with my find: -

All supplies, except the manilla folder, Stampin' Up!®: -
Stamp Set - Petal Pizazz
Paper - Manilla Folder, Tangerine Tango & Whisper White Cardstock, Haiku DSP
Ink - Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
Punches - 1 1/4" Square for photo corners, 1" Circle
Accessories - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Sponge, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon.

Aidan's Birthday Cards

On Sunday we all had a great time at my Nephew Aidan's 3rd Birthday party at Junglerama.

I like to let my boys make the cards for family members.  Everybody always appreciates the cards that the boys make.

This is Cameron's(6) masterpiece: -

Look at the placement of the Train and the Caboose.  No Stamp A Ma Jig was used here.  It was either good luck or very good management.

This card is a perfect example of all you need are stamps - Choo Choo and Right on Track Wheel, ink - Basic Grey Classic Stampin' Pad and card - Going Gray to start cardmaking.

Here's Lachlan's (9) Jungle Themed Card: -

Lachlan's is also Stamps - Wild About You, Ink - miscellaneous rainbow pads from my Pre SU stash, and Card - Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Glorious Green with the addition of a pair of scissors and a scallop circle punch.

If the 'Choo Choo' Stamp Set and 'Right on Track' Stampin' Around Wheel are on your wishlist make sure you get your order in before the end of the Spring Mini Catalogue on 30 November 2009.

10 more Christmas Cards

Friday night was the perfect night to make a dent in the number of Christmas cards I need to get made.  With these 10 I've made just over half.

Dave was out at a work mate's leaving drinks, I had to stay up to post the Daring Cardmakers weekly blog post and the 1/2 used 'I Wish' Simply Scrappin' Kit was sitting on my desk.  If only the boys wouldn't keep coming out of their beds to look for Dave the evening would have been perfect for uninterrupted cardmaking.

Supplies used All Stampin' Up!®
 - 'I Wish' Simply Scrappin' Kit
 - Whisper White A4 Cardstock
 - Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon
 - Paper Cutter
 - Snail Adhesive

Take a look at this months product bundle to get the supplies to make cards like these and earn a free scallop square punch at the same time.

Add a 40 sheet Pack of Whisper White A4 cardstock for card bases and you'll have enough cards for all your friends and family.
