World Cardmaking Day is being celebrated on the Saturday 6th October. I'm absolutely delighted to have a Stampin' Up! workshop booked for that day as that means I'll definitely be sharing the joys of cardmaking.
What will you be doing to enjoy and share the joys of our favourite art/craft, cardmaking?
To find out more about the day here is the
website.
Here are two new card designs in my collection that I've been finding quite popular with my workshop hostesses.
All Images (c) Stampin' Up 1990-2007
All supplies used are from Stampin' Up!. Both the background and the centre flower have been stamped with Green Galore classic ink on Gable Green and Whisper White cardstock. The solid flower image was stamped first on scrap paper to lighten the image used for the flower. The pink layer is pixie pink cardstock and the ribbon is white 6mm grosgrain dyed using diluted drops of ink from a pixie pink reinker. All stamps are from the Heartfelt Thanks set.
All Images (c) Stampin' Up! 1990-2007 Thank you Sharlene for showing me the Kiss technique that is used here to ink the elephant stamp.
All supplies used are from Stampin' Up! The paisley background stamp was heavily inked with brilliant blue classic ink and kissed against the solid elephant stamp to transfer the ink. The elephant was stamped onto whisper white cardstock and layered with brilliant blue cardstock. Then layered onto whisper white cardstock stamped with brilliant blue ink and the paisley background stamp, then whisper white then a brilliant blue card blank. A knotted piece of grosgrain ribbon dyed with a brilliant blue classic ink pad was added to finish it off. The stamp sets used are Paisley background and Wild About You.
