I’m so Excited – Rachel Booth and I are sponsoring this week’s Daring Cardmakers Dare

The daring cardmakers team are always looking for sponsors. It can get a bit expensive always having to come up with a new design and sometimes two every week. If you have a cardmaking related business that would like to give us a hand please contact Jane.

Rachel Booth a UK Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator and Keryn (Me) a New Zealand Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator and both members of the Daring Cardmakers Design Team have sent out images, cardstock, papers and embellishments all by Stampin' Up! to the other members of the design team to create cards with the theme of friendship and love. Please join in with us, Stampin' Up! Product or no Stampin' Up! product. Click here and see the blog post to get ideas from the design team and get details on how to send in your Love/Friendship cards and be in the draw for the spot prizes I have up for grabs.

Here's my card to get you started:

My card uses the faux silk technique. Stamp your images on tissue paper then screw up and straighten out. Glue onto a piece of cardstock using glue stick or mod podge flattening into sharp creases and embellish to suit yourself. Mod Podge will need time to dry but is able to be used to add sprinklings of glitter etc while still wet.

Anyone who places an order for Stampin’ Up! supplies with me will receive a 10% discount on their total order excluding shipping. Just tell me you saw this on my blog. Orders must be received on or before 22 February 2008. Remember all orders placed in February for $120 or more also qualify for Sale-A-Bration sets.

Please contact me by
Email.

I am only able to sell to card makers currently resident in New Zealand. If you are resident in the UK please contact Rachel Booth.

Lovely card again, Keryn! Definitely will try the faux silk technique with the stamping. Have tried it without stamping and it was very effective, also.

What a lovely card! And what a lovely country you live in!

(Had the pleasure of spending a month there a few years ago on our honeymoon)

Faux silk is one of my FAVES--this looks so neat! I also love it with roses. It's so fun seeing how many different places all of us SBS4-ers are from!! Pretty cool. :)
