Here's my Daring Cardmakers dare entry for this week: -
"We Three ........"
Although inspired by the Christmas Carol "We 3 Kings of Orient are",
I wanted to to give you the chance to get more creative so you can make your card We 3.... well, anything really!
I wanted to to give you the chance to get more creative so you can make your card We 3.... well, anything really!
So, feel free to make a Christmas card if you like - or any other sort of card you fancy - as long as there's at least one set of three something;3 kings, 3 trees, 3 cupcakes etc on it anything goes! In fact - for an extra challenge, you could see just how many sets of 3 you can get on your card by adding 3 brads, 3 ribbons, 3 patterned papers....
I used three background squares and three flowers.
I wasn't sure about this card as it was coming together. I tried a new technique - 'Stamped Acrylic Block Background' that I'd been sent by Splitcoaststampers and you'll recognise that the colours aren't really me. At the end I think it's come together OK. Add a punched border, another strip of card to balance it and a sprinkling of glitter and you can make a card come together.
Supplies used all Stampin' Up!®: -
Stamp Set - Eastern Blooms, Size C Clear Block
Paper - Very Vanilla, Regal Rose and Wild Wasabi Cardstock
Ink - Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery & Wild Wasabi Classic Stampin' Pads
Punch - Eyelet Border Punch
Accessories - Paper cutter, Water Spritzer Bottle, Snail Adhesive, Bone Folder, 2 Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stampin' Sponges

Well, if those colours aren't really "yours" you've done a very fine job of disguising the fact - this is soooo lovely and the overlapping flowers work brilliantly.
I got that technique this week too and I might even have a go - especially now I've seen this card.
You're right, the green stripe was a master-stroke to blanace the design
Loving the layers, fab! x
