Yesterday I sat down and made up another batch of this months Thank you card design this time using Sunny Garden DSP teamed with the colours Peach Pizazz and Very Vanilla.
It was while I was putting the cards together that I noticed that the Designer Series paper on the first card below wasn't standing out against the base card colour very well. When making it's mate I sponged Peach Pizazz ink around the flower and the DSP matting and doesn't it make a big difference.
Stampin' Sponges are a really cheap and easy way to add a bit of Pop and finish to your papercraft projects. At $7.95 for a pack of three round shaped sponges, which can then be cut into 8 segments each, giving you 24 little sponges, they are great value. Each of your ink pads colours can have it's own sponge. You'd only need two packs to have one for every colour in the curent Idea Book and Catalogue.
Add a pack or two to your next order and then pop over to this Video tutorial by Angie Kennedy Juda showing you how to make handles for your sponges, so you know which colour they belong to and they help to keep your hands clean.
