Wrapping Paper and Gift Tags to Amuse a Seven Year Old

While out shopping on Friday morning one of the last stops was for Christmas wrapping paper.  What we ended up with instead was a large roll of brown paper and an activity that amused Cameron that afternoon.

As long as you're not after perfection a number of brightly coloured ink pads, we used ROYGBIV (see below) for our colours, a jumbo wheel and lots of newspaper makes lots of brightly coloured wrapping paper and a happy seven year old.

Look at the concentration.  Using the So Swirly Wheel and Daffoldil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad.

Switching over to 'Garden Green'.  Look at those lovely straight lines.

In preparation for matching gift cards, which will be a craft activity for this week, Cameron used the same colours on an A4 sheet of Crumb Cake cardstock.

Turning the cardstock around and starting again this time covering the gaps makes an amazing colour spectacle.  It's a good thing we'll only need small pieces.

R  = Poppy Parade (Cameron's favourite ink colour atm)
O  =  Pumpkin Pie
Y =  Daffodil Delight
G = Garden Green
B  = Pacific Point
I = Concord Crush
V = Perfect Plum
Watch out over the next couple of days to see how the gift cards turned out.
