Because I Care

I wasn't sure about the 'Because I Care' Hostess Set when I first saw it but more and more it's becoming my reach for Stamp Set.  Having a larger flower stamp to fill more of the front of the card saves the need for extra embellishing.

We went up to Waikanae for lunch with Dave's Mother on Saturday for her birthday.  We're not allowed to give her presents anymore but she always wants one of my lovely cards.  This is what I made her:-

 

I borrowed the basic design from Jan Lord's card on Stampin' Connection - a resource that Stampin' Up!® makes available for all it's demonstrators.  I then changed the colour to green, which my MIL likes and added pearls changed the greeting and placement and hey presto!

The base colour of the card is Pear Pizazz and I found out that Garden Green is it's Dynamic Duo by using the 'Colour Coach'.  Such a fabulous resource for colour matching that I use in a lot of my card making.

 

Another card I've made just recently uses the 'Because I Care' stamp set as a Thank You Card.

The colour combination of Rose Red and Always Artichoke makes it a much brighter card.  This time teamed with Island Oasis DSP.
