Quick and Simple Birthday Card
I've spent a bit of today prepping for the workshop I'm doing with some good crafting friends tomorrow morning. While one project is on the complex side I've also popped in a simple Birthday card to showcase using Markers to colour parts of a stamp.
I've used the Happy Birthday stamp from the 'Afterhoughts' Level One Hostess set to show how to use the markers to colour parts of the stamp and I've also removed the third line of text from the stamp.
The card above shows my second attempt at colours. I should really look at what ribbon I have available before I choose my colours. As close as Cherry Cobbler ink and Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain ribbon look they just didn't work on my first card (see below). I might try these colours again with a strip of cardstock instead of ribbon for a more masculine look.
Products used on the card I'm happy with (All Stampin' Up!®): -
Stamp Set - Afterthought - Level One Hostess Set & So Swirly Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel and Handle
Paper - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
Ink - Rich Razzleberry & Pink Pirouette Classic Stampin' Pads, Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories - Stampin' Sponge, Snail Adhesive, Paper Cutter, Paper Snips & Bone Folder.
