I received some pieces of 'Frightful Sight' Designer Series Paper in a recent paper swap. While as a family we don't celebrate Halloween that didn't mean that I couldn't find a less frightful use for the paper. Adapting a card idea posted on the Stampin' Up!® demonstrator website this is what I came up with.
The teeny tiny scallops on the top and bottom edge of the paper are from the edges of a piece of 'Cherry Cobbler scallop dots' ribbon. While it was a little fiddly I found that with a pair of sharp long bladed scissors, like the Stampin' Up!® Craft Scissors, it was possible to cut the ribbon through the middle to save on ribbon when you were only going to see the outside edges.
Supplies used: -
Stamp Set - Pennant Parade
Paper - Frightful Sight DSP, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray & Old Olive Cardstock
Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray & Old Olive Classic Ink Pads
Punch - Mini Pennant Builder Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch
Accessories - Snail Adhesive, Paper Trimmer, Craft Scissors.
A change of Designer Series Paper and associated colours and I think this card sketch could work for nearly any occassion.
