The Daring CardMakers dare for this week was propsed by Kel who dared us to make a card using the lyrics of a song and it couldn't be Happy Birthday or Congratulations.
I've chosen to use a background stamp with the words and lyrics from a 'Flower of Scotland'. Flower of Scotland was written by Roy Williamson of the folk group The Corries in 1966. I sprayed the floral stamp, which I'm hoping looks a bit like heather, with water and wiped most of it off again then inked the stamp with green pigment ink and lavender coloured chalk ink to give the slightly water colour look and stamped directly over the background. To finish I smudged the edge of the light grey card with the green ink and layered onto green card.

Great idea and card Keryn
looks even better in person - obviously the button pushing was a piece of cake!
What a clever idea for the background !
love it !
Great job on the challenge card!
Fantastic Idea. Great song too
Being a true Scot - I wear nothing under my Kilt ;) - this has got to be my favourite card. It's great.x
I love this Keryn, great card, but unlike my good friend Lynne I do wear knickers *wink*
OH doesn't with his kilt though! lol

I liked this card. Can't wait to see what you come up with for your challenge...!
love your card keryn. The heather looks so fragile and I just love sheet music backgrounds
Hi Keryn,
Just love this card.. That was a very clever use of the theme.
What gorgeous stamps too.
I really love this card. I have a soft spot for script. I love to see it & I chose to use it on mine.
I have no end of vellum with music & script & never really used it until this challenge..
