Quilted Top Note Card

In between saying goodbye to my brother and his family who are returning to Christchurch today and preparing to take the boys up to Paraparaumu for a school holiday science demonstration I've got time to share another one of the cards that we made on the weekend.

I've been admiring these quilted top note cards ever since the Big Shot and the Top Note Die were released in North America.  Being away on a crafting weekend was just the time to give it a go.

I took a piece of whisper white cardstock and covered it in adhesive using a glue stick.

I stuck the 12 squares I'd punched from different Cottage Wall papers using the 1 1/4" square punch to the cardstock.

I trimmed the excess white card from around the edges then cut out the Top Note shape using in this case Vicky's Cuttlebug but at home I will be using my Big Shot.  When we go away we each take a large piece of papercrafting equipment.  I took my colour caddy and ink pads.

Watch out as the cardstock is only fractionally bigger than the Top Note Die.

Add to your card and embellishment as you wish.

I have this technique lined up for a video once my boys have returned to school next week.

All supplies used Stampin' Up!® unless noted otherwise: -

Stamp Set - Upsy Daisy (Greeting)
Paper - Cottage Wall DSP, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White Cardstock
Ink - Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad
Punches - Wide Oval
