Contempo Christmas Cards

When I get my hands on a brand new stamp set, in this case out of a soon to be brand new catalogue, I like to have a look around to see what other crafters have come up with.  For 'Contempo Christmas' I found this card in the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery and I've used it as the starting point for my card.

This card to me has a bright and snazzy, slightly retro feel to it.  Here's another one with a more vintage feel using the Newspaper DSP coming in the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue.

All supplies used Stampin' Up!®: -
Stamp Set - Contempo Christmas (Available from 1st September)
Paper - Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black & Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Greenhouse Gala & Newspint DSP (Avaliable from 1st September)
Ink - Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad & Stazon Jet Black Ink
Accessories - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Stampin' Sponge, Linen Thread, Snail Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Bone Folder, 2 Way Glue, Dazzling Diamonds and Crystal Effects.

Now that you've had a sneak peek at one of the fabulous stamp sets and designer series paper packs in the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalgoue click here to find out how to get your hands on a copy.

Beautiful cards. I was thinking of using the bird punch on mine this year. Assuming we're not too busy and I get to make some cards. If I could grab a few hours I think I would start making some now.
