Fun and Fast Notes Boxes and Cards - ESAD 'Retiring Products' Blog Hop

What better way to say goodbye to the products that we've all loved than a Blog Hop, especially when those products are still available to purchase until the 31st August or until sold out first.

Whether you've come from visiting Joanne Kechagias' blog or you're starting here grab a cup of coffee/tea settle somewhere quiet and comfortable and click round the 23 projects featuring retiring products from the Stampin' Up!® 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue.

"What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators.  We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please fee free to click here to join our wonderful group."

I've chosen to use a Stamp Set that's been in my collection for over two years now - Fun and Fast Notes - along with my first designer series paper purchase from the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue - Greenhouse Gala.

I've chosen to highlight three of the stamps in the eight piece Fun and Fast Notes set, 'Happy New Baby', 'Get Well Soon' & 'Thanks I Needed That'.  The other five are 'All Spruced Up', 'Thanks for Sharing You with Me', 'Happy Birthday Wishes', 'Congratulations' & 'Together Forever'.

The boxes were cut with the Big Shot 'Fancy Favour Box Die' in colours to match the Greenhouse Gala paper.  The backgrounds had 72x79mm pieces of the designer series paper adhered to 76x83mm pieces of whisper white cardstock with a glue stick which was then run through the Big Shot and the 'Square Lattice' textured impressions embossing folder.

The main images were stamped in Jet Black Stazon on Whisper White cardstock and trimmed to leave a small border.  I stamped the images again on coordinating cardstock and cut out parts of the image and adhered these in place using a technique called 'Paper Piecing'.

The cards were completed the same way using the scallop border punch to decorate the top edge.

I hope you've enjoyed my projects today.  If you'd like to see what else has made it on to the last chance list click on the button at the top right of the screen and then hop over to see what yumminess Richelle Fletcher has in store for us.
