ESAD Seasonal Catalogue Blog Hop
Come and sit a while and hop through the inspiration brought to you by the ESAD demonstrator team using products to be found in the current Stampin' Up!® Seasonal Catalogue.
You may have arrived here from the blog of the talented Libby Dyson but even if you're just starting here click on the link at the bottom of my projects and keep doing this until you get back to where you started and you'll have had all the inspiration there is to be had.
When asked by Yvonne, who spends a lot of time coordinating these hops (thank you Yvonne), I chose to use the 'Soda Pop Tops' with the matching Stamp Set 'Collage Curios'.
This was the very first card I made using the Soda Pop Tops before I realised there was more to them than meets the eye: -
That's right you can use the Big Shot to flatten the Pop Tops. Place them between the plates, right way up, on top of the Multi Purpose platform using no tabs and this is what you get.
Herre's a new version using designer series paper and a greeting from the new Simply Sent bundle rather than the now retired Sale A Bration ribbon used in the earlier one. The Simply Sent additions were perfect to use with the Eiffel Tower image from the Collage Curios Stamp Set.
You can also use the Soda Pop Tops along with the Simply Sent Designer Series Paper to make a brooch to celebrate a first international flight maybe. Punch out your chosen image as before, stick it into the pop top and flatten. This time fill the pop top with Crystal Effects and leave to dry then stick a brooch pin on the back. If you use a stamped image inside your pop top you will need to seal it with a layer of clear heat embossing before adding the Crystal Effects. I've stuck a brooch pin to the back with sticky strip.
And now from the blooper file. I was wondering why it seemed harder to get this pop top through the Big Shot. Duh! I had it set on tab two instead of no tabs. Lucky no damage was done to the Big Shot.
Now it's time to continue along on the hop and visit the blog and projects of Chloe Evans from Chloe's Craft Closet.

Thanks for the inspiration Keryn. I must crack open my container of Soda tops.
Wow what a clever idea Keryn. I would never in a millions years think to squash them in the bigshot.
Loving that idea!!!
Love what you have made Keryn, especially love the broches, what a cool idea.
Keryn what lovely projects, thanks for the tip about which tab to use for the bottle caps!

Thanks for sharing these gorgeous projects.
xx
Thanks for showing how to flatten them with the big shot. I was wondering how to do that
Clever idea Keryn and thanks for sharing the blooper! I haven't been game to try that squashing technique for fear of damaging my bighsot, but if a misshapen soda pop is the worst thing that can happen, I think I may now be brave enough to try. Thanks so much.
Soda Pop tops Mmmmm haven't got any of these may just have to buy some now Keryn. Thank you for the great projects.
Love these projects, thanks for sharing the blooper, it happens to us all ;-)
