'Lest We Forget'

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Today I went to my first ever Anzac Day Service.  Luckily for me Tawa RSA did not have a dawn service but started their's at a more civilised time of 9:30am.

I was so proud of Dave, Lachlan and Cameron who all marched in the parade as part of Tawa Scouts.  Dave is a Cub Leader, Lachlan is a Cub and Cameron is a Kea.

Your boys look awesome in their uniforms Kerryn. Im an ex cub leader so can relate ..we always did the later service though but we have done the dawn service too and the kids were great about it. I think they got a lot out of the service and were respectful. Which is great aye?
Your cub looks as though hes got a few badges already.

So lovely to see the boys (small and not-so-small!) in their uniforms. And so good to hear you've entered the world of ANZAC services, Keryn - such a good thing for kids to grow up knowing about. Lest we forget.
