Day One - Scrapbooking Week

To celebrate International Scrapbooking Month I'm going to have a scrapbooking week.  Posting a post every day for 7 days to show you different ways I've found to use Stamps and Ink, along with patterned papers, punches and of course photos on my scrapbook layouts.

I have a Clear Mounted 'Lots of Bots' stamp set to give away to one person (No Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators please) who leaves a comment on all seven posts this week.  I will be doing the draw on Tuesday 25th May.

My layouts today both use the same photo.  One layout 6x6 the other 12x12 and with the photo in a portrait orientation in one and a landscape orientation in the other to make the best use of the space available.

The first layout I completed using this photo to complete a 6x6" layout.  The background was created using a 'Lots of Dots' jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel (retired) and brilliant blue ink on bashful blue cardstock.  The Z's from the 'ABC alphabet lower' stamp set where used in two ways, the first stamped directly on the background in pumpkin pie ink and the second stamped on pumpkin pie cardstock in brilliant blue ink and punched out using a 3/4" circle punch.

The second is a 12x12 layout which gave more room for embellishment.  Although you can't see it well in the photo the yoyo yellow background has been stamped in versamark ink using the heart stamps from the 'Sprinkles' stamp set.  Sponging round the edges in Pumpkin pie ink with paper & cardstock strips and punched stars help to lessen the large expanse of blank YoYo yellow cardbase.

Don't forget to leave a comment on this post and the next six this week to enter yourself in the draw.
