Christmas is Over - Valentines here we come!

When I'm stuck for ideas the Idea Book and Catalogue is a great place to turn to.  Thank you so much Jan for pointing me in the direction of a great Valentine and 'Treats for your Sweets' card on page 2 of the current Idea Book and Catalogue.

Grab your copy of the current Idea Book and Catalogue or click on the link above and turn to page 2.  I'm sure it will be very easy to see where I got my idea from.

If you haven't got a hard copy of the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue and would like one contact me and let me know which of these options appeals to you: -

 - Pay $15.95 and I will send you one postage free.
 - Book a Stampin' Up!® workshop in the greater Wellington Region and it will be your first hostess gift.
 - Earn one with your first order of $100 before shipping for the Idea Book year.
 - Sign up as a Stampin' Demonstrator and receive a box of 8, one for you and 7 for your customers and crafting friends.

My 'Full Heart' punch is definitely one of my favourites and because it's been out at a lot of classes and workshops it's starting to show a little bit of wear and tear. As punches get used and get blunter they don't cut DSP as well as they used to when they were new.

If any of your punches are starting to do this, as mine was today, then place a scrap piece of paper or card behind the DSP when you are punching out the shape and the shape will punch perfectly.

And remember just because Christmas is over doesn't mean the scraps of holiday papers you still have can't be put to other uses just like I have using the 'Jolly Holiday' DSP in my card.

The techniques I used in this card are: -
 - punching
 - stamping
 - sponging
 - faux stitching
 - using Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3D effect

While non of these techniques were new to me this time maybe one or more or them is for you.   Check out my Happy New Year Challenge and send me a photo of your creation.  Feel free to contact me for more information on the techniques listed above.
